Please help planing trip to Rome!?!?

I am due to go on a trip to Rome in 5 days for 5nights and I was just looking for some trip advice. I want to see all the top sites, but also a romantic trip as I am going to propose to my girlfriend. Cliche I know lol. Looking to plan day by day. Have you been to Rome? Do you know any tips?
