How do Polish communities view illegitimate births?

As far as I understood (and, correct me if I'm wrong), abortion is illegal in Poland although it is performed somewhat discreetly so I guess it's not too uncommon to have a high rate of illegitimate births. However, I'm talking from a social point of view. Is it socially acceptable to have illegitimate births within your average-Joe Polish families?
