Don't expect 4 seasons in Colorado

Here in Colorado we just have 3 seasons - summer, autumn, and winter. The leaves turn yellow (trees that turn other colors don't grow here), so don't expect those rich reds, oranges, and browns they have in New England.





There are lots of VA medical centers all over Colorado, but only 2 VA hospitals - in Denver and in Grand Junction. Grand Junction, however, is a long ways from the Rocky Mountains, so you are looking at living within a 100 miles or so of Denver. (I have heard veterans can use hospitals on military bases as well; if this is true, then you have a lot more options, particularly around Colorado Springs, a popular location for veteran retirees).
