I;m in san diego with my mom...looking for something unique and fun to do w/ her?

took a trip to san diego...screwed up a few things so far but i wanna make sure this is a memorable trip for her (in a good way). if u have any ideas on something unique and fun to do with her that would be great...we;ve been here many times before so not something touristy i guess...|||Most people like music. I love it. At 65 when I hear the 50;s, 60;s some of the 40;s, livens me up.|||La Jolla offers great views, great surfing, great food, and great shopping.Check out the surfers at historic Windansea Beach. At low tide you can walk out onto the tide pools. Walk along the Cove and check out the caves. Visit the Museum of Contemporary Art. Take a stroll on Prospect St and check out the shops, galleries, and have some authentic Mexican food at Alfonso;s. Then head to the Birch Aquarium at The Scripps Institution of Oceanography. It has some of the largest model layouts in the world. It is really awesome and a real hidden gem. There is a state park there that recreates life in the Mexican and early American periods of 1821 to 1872. There are also a lot of restaurants in the area.
