Buying Clothing For Your Pets!

This is a guide for buying pet clothing and accessories! I hope to help buyers and pet owners make educated choices when purchasing items for their pets and not end up owning items that just wont fit!
Buying clothing online for your furry babies can be daunting! There are so many sizes, styles and colours!
In the pet clothing business there is not a standardized sizing system. This means we have to find the right sized article based on our pet's measurements.
The 2 most important measurements are girth and length.
To measure your pet's length simply measure from the base of the neck (where the collar would sit) to the base of the tail. This measurement should be in inches as most sellers will list their items in terms of inches.
To measure girth simply measure your pet around the chest at the biggest point. If a piece of clothing doesnt fit there it will be a waste of money!
Dont be afraid to ask sellers for measurements! If they wont provide them - dont bid! The same sellers who wont give measurements probably wont give refunds either!
Another important thing to look for when purchasing pet clothing is the cuff at the end of the body. If you have a female pet you wont need to worry about this but if you have a male pet you want to make sure the item has a V on the underside or a slit or opening of some sort. This will allow your male pet to 'take care of business' without soaking his clothes.
When measuring clothing that will fit around your pet's neck you want to make sure you will be able to slip 2 fingers between the neck and the item going around it. This will ensure it is not too tight for your pet.
And lastly, beware of the sellers who have pet clothing for 1cent but charge 20.00 for shipping. Supporting these sellers only promotes fee avoidance (circumvention) and puts honest, hard working okayers out of business.
