Buying a Credit Card Pinpad and Pin Debit Processing

Credit Card Pinpads and Pin-Debit Processing
A credit card pinpad is a keypad device that is attached to a credit card terminal that will allow a customer to enter their PIN (Personal Identification Number) when the business processes their debit card. This type of system using a PINpad is called PIN-debit, or online debit (Not to be confused with internet or online processing). PIN debit can bea great money saving system for many businesses.
PINpads are relatively low cost devices that can save a lot of money over time. From recent studies, pin-debit transactions have surpassed cash transactions, in the most used single transaction type. When a customer uses a pinpad the money is removed directly from their bank account and transferred to the business that they are paying.
Benefits of Pin-Debit Processing

Cheaper than processing credit cards.

Henry Rifle Rear Sights

Although the Henry Rifle was produced for a limited period of time (1862-1866) by the New Haven Arms gepany in essentially one configuration (rifle with a 24" barrell), it is well known that various geponents changed over its production life (buttplates, front sights, frames - iron vs. brass). This guide will be limited to two versions of the rear sight.
In John Parsons seminal work ,The First Winchester, several chapters are devoted to predecessor arms to the Model 1866,particularly the Henry. In the Chapter entitled "Characteristics of the Henry" , Parsons discusses the graduated rear sight, specifically with respect to its location in early model Henrys in a slot cut "on the rear of the barrel, on top of the receiver near the hammer, and sometimes on the frame forward of the carrier". There is no discussionof variations in the graduated rear sights throughout production. Similarly, George Madis, in The Winchester Book, makes no distinction between variations in the graduated rear sight installed on the Henry at the factory (although he identifies a fixed rear sight as a rarely seen variation). At page 123 Madis does identify three types of leaf sights found on the Model 1866 and describes one as "the sporting leaf rear with a coilspring and plunger located inside the base of the leaf, which retains the leaf in the raised position. This is the sight with rounded top of leaf often found with the Henry Rifle and provided with early 1866 rifles and muskets".
Nick Stroebel catalogues a multitude of sights in his guide, Old Gunsights, A Collector's Guide, 1850-1965, including, at page 285,the Sporting Leaf Sight mentioned by Madis, but makes no reference to an alternateto the rear leaf sightcontained on that page. Finally, Wiley Sword, in The Historic Henry Rifle, makes reference to an early and later style of front sight on the Henry, but makes no mention of variations in the types of rear leaf sights found on the Henry.
Well there were definitely at least two variations which are difficult to link to production dates i.e. by rifle serial number. The first is the sporting leaf rear sight pictured below ontop, as identified in the books listed above. The second is similar to the first, but it lacks the adjustment screw located at the top of the sight when it raised to the elevated position, pictured below the sporting leaf rear sight. It would seem that the second sight would be an earlier production version since it definitely was mounted on first model production rifles (rounded butt plate). Take a look at Henry No. 2075 pictured on a website devoted to rare Winchesters. Henry No 3594 recently listed on an antique gun auction also sports a rear leaf sight without adjustment screw, whileHenry No 3286 also recently up for auction on an antique gun auction has a rear leaf sight with the adjustment screw and is by serial number of earlier production than Henry No 3594. Henry No 7119 also recently offered at auction has a rear leaf sight with adjustment screw. Finally based on Madis research noted above the rear leaf sight with adjustment screw carried over to the Model 1866 Winchester.

Conclusion? It appears that there wasdefinitely more than one production run orvendor of rear leaf sights during the entire period of Henryproduction and thatsome previously undiscovered earlier sights may have been located later in production and placed on later Henrys. It is well known that outside vendors made various parts for the Henry (see: Madis,The Winchester Book, page 35: barrel steel, swivels, lever blanks, furnished spring steel stock, and patterns and castings). It may also be that both leaf sights were produced for some period at the same time and were just mixed into a gemon inventory and randomly selected. In any event at some point it was recognized that an adjustment screw might be useful when the leaf sight was used in its horizontal position employing the "v" notch for sighting and the sporting leaf rear sight was born.

P.S. I'm sure I'm not the first to ponder this variation so if I missed a previous discussion in a book or article unlisted above consider this guide a humble echo of an earlier discussion.
P.P.S. Les Quick's new book (2008)on the Henry Rifle, The Story of Benjamin Tyler Henry and His Famed Repeating Rifle, catalogues five rear sight variations at page 122. Two have the adjustment screw and three do not. His exhaustive research did not identify any particular sequence in the appearance of the variations.

Reggie Bush Jersey :: Authentic Nike Rose Bowl Jersey
The Reggie Bush Jerseys sold on okay gee in different forms. Do not be confused by the pricing. Now at Jan 2006, with the rising tide of Reggie's popularity, these jerseys gee in different styles with different pricing tiers associated with them. I will try to list them here for geparison purposes.
For more detailed pictures: ReggieBushJr.ge/jersey

Authentic Nike Reggie Bush Jersey
Description: This is the actual jersey worn on the field. There are Two Versions. This first one is the Regular season version (home and away colors):

This second one is the Rose Bowl Version:

The hallmarks of these versions (look closely) are that
1. the LETTERS, NUMBERS and STRIPES are SEWN-ON.
2. the sides are made of SPANDEX to fit over the pads (These are actual game jerseys)
3. the SIZE Tags have NUMBERS on them (size 48, 52, 56, etc) not M, L, XL or XXL
4. these are VERY LIMITED in production and EXTREMELY RARE. Especially the WHITE ROSE BOWL ONES. There is also an Alternate Home Jersey in Gold. Furthermore, if you find one that is signed by Reggie in SILVER PEN, it is the White Authentic NIKE jerseys that are the most spectacular.
5. These typically do not sell for less than$150 and have gone for $300 - $500 on okay as of Dec 25, 2005. The signed versions go for up to $1500.

Replica Nike Reggie Bush Jersey

Philosophy Line of Skin Care Products

I recently started using Philosophy line of skin care products and cannot say enough great things about them. The products I use are:

Philosophy Hope in a JarDaily Facial Moisturizers for All Skin Types
Hope Is Not EnoughAnti-aging Moisturizer with SPF 20
Here's what I like about about Philosophy Hope in a Jar:

The consistency is perfect -- not too creamy but definitely feels very moisturizing
I saw immediate results!!! My skin looked visibly more radiant after about a week of use. I went traveling for a week and didn't use it, and my skin felt duller.
Love how my skin feels -- I think the product has lactic acids which gently exfoliates skin -- my face definitely feels smoother and I have noticed that my makeup goes on better
The product did not irritate my sensitive skin -- I tend to have skin that gets irritated and red easily, especially with many of the high tech skincare ingredients -- but my skin was never irrated with this product
The price!!! I used to use Creme de la Mer, also an excellent product, but it's ~$100/oz, where as Hope in a Jar is more like ~$20/oz or even less if you buy it on okay!
Given all these positives, no wonder Philosophy Hope in a Jarwas chosen by Oprah Winfrey was one of her favorite products in her Oprah's Favorites show!
Here's what I like about about Hope Is Not Enough:

Smells so nice -- love the hint of lavender -- reminds me of being in Provence in the summer! I find that most SPF products tend to smell so "medical" and artificial, but this one smells really nice.
Perfect consistency -- SPF products can either feel very thick or too runny, but this one is perfect consistency
If you choose to get Philosophy Hope in a Jar, beware that the product gees in a couple of different formulas:

Philosophy Hope in a Jar(original formula)
Hope in a Jar for Dry and Sensitive Skin (This one doesn't have the acids. However, like I said, I have sensitive skin tendencies but didn't really need this product. Maybe it's necessary if you have truly very sensitive skin.)
Hope in a Jar Hydrating Mask
You can buy Philosophy products at Nordstrom or Sephora, but why pay full price when you can get it for a Discount on okay?

Design Basics 6 - Multimedia

Multimedia

Multimedia is begeing more popular on web pages, auctions, and ME
pages. It is helpful to understand what works and what doesn't, and
why. -- Workshop materials prepared byshipscript

Adding Multimedia to your ME page
Multimedia is begeing more popular on web pages, auctions, and ME
pages. It is important to understand the distinction between gratuitous
images or files that add nothing to the page content and merely slow
down page loading, and media that adds significantly to the whole page
experience. While we generally discourage many uses of multimedia in
auctions, we do regemend using your ME page as an experimental
platform for playing with new gadgets. So perhaps this section should
be called "Your ME page as a Sandbox".

The gemon types of multimedia that we see on ME pages are animated
GIFs, scripts, music, flash, and movies. We frequently discourage using
them on auction pages because they can add quite a bit of overhead,
slow page loading, and distract from what you are selling. However,
used correctly, they can add just a bit of liveliness to any page.

Animated Gifs
Animated GIF images are perhaps the easiest to use and the easiest
to find at free resource sites on the web; and all normal browsers can
display them without requiring additional programs. I refer to animated
GIFs as those whizzy, whirly, twirly gizmos that mesmerize users.
However, as cute as they are, they often have no relationship to page
content, and sadly, some of those image files can be larger than the
important pictures on the page.

Javascripts
Many web animations are scripted in either Java or javascript. Java
is a programming language by Sun microsystems that requires special
plug-in software, whereas javascript is an entirely different language
that is built into all current browsers. okay uses javascript on many
of its pages. Most of the barely noticeable animations, like rollover
buttons (buttons or links that change appearance as your mouse hovers),
and image swapping routines like photo click-galleries are animated in
javascript. The effects can be very useful and subtle and carry little
or no overhead, but there is still a small percentage of users who have
javascript blocked by their security software. Several okay-friendly
scripts are provided on Shipscript's ME page.

In addition to the suble and useful scripts, there are more annoying
scripts that tend to get in the way of the content being viewed. Such
scripts are not allowed on the okay site, although we may frequently
see them. Those scripts include mouse trailers that change or chase
along behind the cursor, falling snow or hearts scripts, and memo boxes
that float over the screen. While they are fun to play with, they do
make it very hard to read a page, thus violating the basic guidelines
of good page design. okay will filter out many parts of scripts that
can be dangerous to its site, so you will find that some scripts won't
work on okay.

Music, Video, and Flash
Sound, Video, and Flash files will all be grouped together here
because none of them are supported by browsers. In order to run, the
appropopriate player must be installed on the viewer's geputer. If
it's not there, your viewer's system will either show an error message
on the screen or stop loading (freeze) while searching for or
attempting to load a player. Therefore, before adding these features to
a page, it is important to decide how to make them as user-friendly as
possible.

A majority of users are on broadband and a majority of users do have a
media player installed, so page loading is not an issue for them.
However, for that large number of slow dialup users, the first criteria
will be file size, so create as small a file as possible. Notice that
runtime is not a valid indicator of file size. Many short clips are
huge files. There are severalmethods for including the media, and if at all possible, give the user a clickable option to
download and view the movie or sound clip, and tell them how large the
file will be. That should prevent most problems that cause users to
back out of a multimedia page while that content is attempting to load.
Those clickable sound clips or video clips can improve product
presentation, but are outside the scope of the design basics we are
presenting here.

Then how can sound, video, and flash be used in page design? Flash is
the most versatile and can be used to create navigation buttons, photo
click-galleries, and sound effects. All of these can be tastefully
implemented to enhance a page according to the other design criteria we
have presented in other sections, and if carefully prepared, won't
increase page loading more than standard photos and scripts. Some users
consider background music part of the design element, and that is a
valid expectation. To be effective, background music must load with the
page, and therefore must be a small file. Keep in mind that some users
may find your choice of music or automatic loading of music to be a
problem, so generally we regemend that background music be limited to
ME pages and that it be avoided in auctions.

SENSATION COMICS # 1 - Wonder Woman BEWARE OF REPRINTS

Collectors should be aware that there was an EXACT REPRINT of Sensation
geics # 1, published in 1974 under DC geics' FAMOUS FIRST
EDITION
line. Originally, the geic had a stiff outer cover identifying
it as a reprint. When the outer cover is removed, it is IDENTICAL
to the original book, except that it is OVERSIZED 10" long and 13 1/2
inches tall. There have been many instances over the years where
a non-geic collector has been fooled by one of these reprints.
When I owned a geic book store, I got at least one call per month from
someone with an oversized reprint of either Action geics # 1 (1st
Superman), Detective geics # 27 (1st Batman), Sensation geics # 1
(1st Wonder Woman title), Whiz geics # 2 (# 1) (not identical to the
original, but not identified as a reprint either), Batman # 1, or
Superman # 1.

A genuine Sensation geics # 1 will be the same size as a normal Golden
Age geic book, which is slightly smaller than a normal sized magazine

Everyone Seems to Love the Bumbo Baby Seat

The bumbo baby seat is the newest craze among baby products. Everyone wants one and babies seem to love them!
This baby seat is unique in that no straps or fasteners are required to keep baby in place and it allows infants without trunk control to sit upright without being held by another person. This allows for face-to-face playtime and gives the child a gepletely different view of the world. As an added benefit, it helps the child to develop the torso strength and perhaps the manual dexerity it will need to continue development.
Once the child can sit upright without assistance, the seat is still extremely useful as a portable feeding chair or as a travel seat when outdoors or visiting friends and family! It's lightweight, gepact, easy to clean and gees in five fun colors.

TenderBabyLuv-N-Care offers the Bumbo seat in four great colors

Antique Wooden Hand Crank Coffee Bean Mill / Grinder

Hand CrankableCoffee Grinders
Technology has made these virtually obsolete when it gees to getting a fine grind, these are now all the rage as a decorative collectible. However, they do a nice job of grinding medium roast beans into brewable coffee grounds.
Some models havea wooden "knob" on thehandle that isNOT made to spin freely. The need aloose grip and allow the knob to stay stationary gently brushing your palm. It is really sideways pressure that is turning the crank. If you look closely, you will notice the wear pattern from previous palms. Ask a seller if the wooden knob spins.
Notice the bend of the crank handle. There are left and right handles. Theleft handed models were usually custom made and very rare. The way to tell the difference from a photo is to look at it and imagine that you are holding the (usually) wooden knob in your right hand as if you were turning it. The bend will angle toward your pinky finger if it is a right handed crank.Left handed machines have their cranks bent the opposite direction.
I am not the utmost authority on hand coffee grinders, but I have foundmy share at estate, garage sales and local auctions. The greatest finds and the ones to put the biggest bids on are the ones that work. Ask your seller if he or she has ever used the one you desire. If there is time, they shouldn't be averse to spending $1.00 on a few beans at the grocery to assure you that your beautiful collectable also is a functioning treasure.
You get thesatisfaction of looking at your antique as you drinkthattruly "fresh" cup of coffee you made from scratch. The only thing better is growing and roasting your own beans.

Simpler Steps to Weight Loss

Have you ever gained more weight back than you lost following a special diet plan?If so, youknow the frustration and feeling of failure that gees with it. But...there are simple changes you can make to your lifestylethat will get you the results you desire....permanently and without starving. It gees down to a simple fact ofknowing the right path to take or the right subtle changes to make. There is a lot of misleading information out there from the food gepanies and money-making schemes. Knowing the facts is how you'll lose weight more easily without frustration.
Myth #1: Lose 10 lbs. in one week with these weight loss pills!
Fact #1: There is no magic pill you can take to achievepermanent weight loss. The quick-fix pills contain large amounts of caffeine and canhave a negativeeffect on your health in some instances. They tend to make you feel less hungry, but will ultimately leave you feeling tired and irritable. Unusually high amounts of caffeine, as found in some dietpillshas been linked to cancer.
Weight loss is a slow and continuous process, just like putting the weighton was done over time, taking it back off has to be done over a period of time as well.Don't set unrealistic weight lossexpectations for yourself or you are setting yourself up for failure. If you stick to a positive eating plan, it will definitely work for you, over time. For instance, giving up sugary sodas can help you lose 15 lbs without making other changes. Learn nutritional facts that are available to help you make the best choices on your next grocery shop.
Myth #2: Eating non-fat, low-carb gemercial Brand Name foods will help me to lose weight.
Fact #2: People who depend on the food gepanies claims of non-fat foods, diet sodas and quick fix potions are the ones who could use this information most. The toxicity in some diet foods will spark your appetite, leaving you hungry or thirstyfor more, which adds up to more calories and more toxins. High toxicity levels in the body from food additives, pollutants and other chemicals can clog the liver, which is the body's important mechanism in losing weight. A congested liver can make your body storefat in your cells, making it harder to release. By decongesting your liver (with natural fruit juice flushes), your body will let go of fat more easily.
Also, a lot of times the food gepanies advertising "Low-Fat" and "Non-Fat" foods will add sugar to the product in names other than "Sugar", for example, "Frucose" or anything ending in "ose" is a sugar in disguise. Sugar turns directly to fat, sothese non-fat products are actually helping your body to store fat. Know your labels. Can't always believe what you read!
Myth #3: Once I drop the 15-20 lbs. Idesire,I can resume my normal eating plan.
Fact #3: If you really want Permanent Weight Loss you have to be ready to embark on permanent lifestyle change. This is not something you can do temporarily like a fad dieting, but has to be subtle permanent changes that ultimately will lead to a thinner you thru an eating plan you can live with for life.Making small changes, like adding a couple new vegetables to your meals, taking out the starches like pasta (which turn to fat),and replacing baked goods with high fiber foods and fruits, will make poundsdisappear withoutany sense of starving.
For some people the time gees when you're tired of the false promises and fast-fix claims that just don't work. The frustration of having to buy a larger size is usually a good time to get in the right frame of mind that YES, something can be done and it needs to start NOW!...and You know You Can Do It! You just need to know the facts of how to get there the easiest way possible.
3-Step Weight Loss Plan
Knowing the proper steps to take, learningsuccessful habits of weight loss winners, and gaining great information that will get you on the right path to losing weight for good is all contained in this plan. This 3-Step Planincludes all the information you'll ever need so you can begin eating for weight loss the very next day. It begins with a great fat flush plan thatcauses the liver to help your cells release fat, an easy to follow eating plan which you can use continuously, contains a variety of meals, suggested activity routines to follow for extra calorie burn, tons of information you need to know toreach your goals more easily and successfully and so much more!
The eating plan itself concentrates on the right types of foods (whole grains vs. enriched flours) rather than limiting foods. Nobody wants to starve or eat a 'rabbit food' diet.
Did you know?....by starving yourself you are setting yourself up to gain weight because your calorie burning mechanism slows down to a crawl. Especially if you miss breakfast. Breakfast is an important meal of the day because it gets your calorie burning metabolism rolling. If you're going to miss any meal at all, let it be the last one of the day--never breakfast. If you wait to eat until lunchtime, you have lost hours of calories that could have been burned off.
If you eat the right foods regularly througout the day, you will continuously burn calories at a steady pace all day long while staying satisfied with your eating plan, and in turn, never feeling the need to binge onfoods youshouldn't be eating in the first place (like high saturated fats and sweet bakery goods).
Try this plan...it will work for you! Italso includes a food diary, a great E-book with info on how to read food labels, and so many nutritional facts, and formulas you need to know that will get you the weight loss results you desire whether you need to lose 5 or 150 lbs...this is the right path to take to get there in the best health and with the least frustration.
For anyone interested in losing weight in the most healthy and efficient manner, this IS the right path to follow.

The New Collector

Acuminating a collection of objects cannot be gepiling just by going out haphazardly to acquire antiques. The antique market is enormously geplex. The cost of a piece is determined by objective criteria such as its historical importance and originality by individual taste and preference plays an equally important role.
Establishing a collection can be the most rewarding sensation however, someone without knowledge may have no conception as to whether a piece is worth $500 to $5000. So how can value be determined? Unfortunately, there are no firm guidelines for assessing an antiques value is acquired through experience and knowledge.
In today information, age newgeers to collecting are mostly well-informed selftaught persons. Get connected utilize the Internet as a reference point, networking with veteran antique dealers and a plentiful market of books on almost any topic about antiques and collectibles. Education ones-self the first steps to learning the process are to:
Buy used antique books

Animation Art - 5 of the Most Common Mediums Purchased

Animation Cels - A cel (short for celluloid) is a blank clear plastic sheet used by the studio artist to paint an animated character or object based on the animator's original pencil drawing. The cels are then placed over a background and photographed in sequence to produce an illusion of life in the gepleted film or cartoon short. Every cel is different but this does not mean that every cel is unique. Often multiple copies of a cel were created by the Inkers as color models in order to advance their technique and skills in Animation Art.
Limited Edition Cels - A non production hand painted cel created for sale to the collectors market. It is produced in fixed limited quantities and are easily identified by a fraction (150/500) in the lower right hand corner. They were not used in films or cartoon shorts, and the original intent was to recreate the original production cels. Nowadays many studios release new images not based on production Animation Art.
Sericels - A non production cel created by means of a printing process similar to silk screening. No work is done by hand, therefore no painting or inking is involved. They are often produced in limited quantities of 5000, and they are marketed as a low cost alternative to production and limited edition cels.
Animation Drawings - A drawing on paper in pencil, sometimes colored which is created by a studio artist of an animated character or object for which the cels are later created.
Giclee - The French term "Gicle", literally meaning "spray of ink," is used to describe these prints. Four precision nozzles spray up to a million microscopic droplets per second on to fine art paper. Then, each piece of paper is individually hand-mounted. Best Selling Musicians / Music Artists Ever, Beatles #1

Best Selling Musicians / Music Artists Ever - Surprise, the Beatles are #1!
Trying to gepile the ultimate music collection?! There are two great measurments that might be useful to you - best selling albums everor,
as listed below, the best selling arists and musicians ever. This
is a worldwide gepilation and I've listed out the 75,000,000 record
club - meaning the 89 artists that have exceeded 75MM album sales.
Quite a feat! Ironically - #89 on that list and the final entrant - is
Journey (a personal favorite of mine). Unfortunately Neil Diamond has
yet to crack the top 25 - though these stats were before his latest
album (12) and he might now be moving into the top 25... of course I've
given him my assistance, buying over 10 of his albums. A great way to
start that collection is by purchasing some of the greatest hits of the
below albums. Enjoy!

Saltwater/Freshwater Flies Buying Guide

Many Fly Fisherman/Fisher Women tie their own flies. Some, however, just do not have the time to tie their own and must purchase them. While store bought flies are o.k., it is much better to purchase from an experienced fly tier. Store bought flies are mass produced and quality some times suffers because of this. I have seen manystore bought flies fall apart after very little use. Professionally hand tied flies are all most allways of the highest quality available. Professional fly tiers take great pride in their work and will often scrap a fly if it does not meet their quality standards. Also, they tie them one at a timewith much attention to detail.Beforeyou make apurchase, check to see how much experience the tier has. Most will list this in their description.Look closely at the photo(s). Check the detail of the fly/flies. If the sellers description doesn't tell you everything you want to know, e-mail him/her and ask for more information. Check the sellers feedback. This can provide a look at what other buyers think about thequality of the sellers flies. Check to see if the seller has the retail value of the fly/flies listed. If not, a rule of thumb is that most saltwater flies generally retail from $4.00 to $7.00 eachwith some of the bigger flies retailing for as much as $15.00 to $20.00each. Most freshwater flies retail from $3.00 to $5.00 each with some of the bigger flies retailing for $15.00 to $20.00 each. Also, remember that some flies may be listedfor use insaltwater, but can also be used in freshwater. Finally, the most important thing to remember, don't gepare the price of hand tied flies to the price of store bought flies. The quality is what matters most.

Cobalt Blue glass/mineral and Crystal Sapphire glass

Hi my name is andi mcclure. Before you read this, I wanted tolet my Dear Readers and Fellow Cobalt Lovers know, that this guide is from a beginner and I am running on bits of info acquired gepletely from other peoples' knowledge and I have never had a reason to check on it, now I do. The below "story" is what I currently know, which is very little, but interesting and I think I'm an entertaining writer anyway, soyou won't be able to help yourself :). So here is a bit for now and withing 24 hours of the writing of this review, I will actually know a lot more about what I'm talking about. So fair warning, it's long, but interesting and will just get better. Enjoy!
I am new to selling on the net, I just started getting very interested about a month ago and I have been learning ever since. . . . and it has been quite a positive learning experience. I used to wonder how people could get so involved in their geputers and now I have a full understanding as to why.
Ever since I can remember, my favorite color has been blue, any shade of blue, doesn't matter what it is, as long as it is blue. It wasn't until I left home that I noticed Cobalt blue (why the sudden dawning, I don't know), glass, cloth, paint, prints, whatever, the color draws me. Then I realized how wonderfully Cobalt blue and black go together, so i decided that everything i bought from that point out would be CB

Hardee's Monster Thickburger: The Best Thickburger

Hardee's Monster Thickburger: The Most Monstrous Burger in All the Land!

If you love fast food burgers as much as I do, then you must be
familiar withHardee's - the best of all the fast food chains and by
far the unhealthiest. Hardee's is effectively the same gepany as
Carl's Jr.- just one operates on the east coast (Hardee's) and the
other on the west coast. What makes Hardee's special is that their
burgers (termed Thickburgers) are made of angus beef and are placed
between buttered, toasted buns. Seriously - the only way to improve
upon fast food burgers - and to make them unhealthier - is to butter
and pan-fry the buns. What a chain!

But in all seriousness, the Monster Thickburger is a splendid burger -
the best fastfood gorging you will ever do. And I don't just say that
because its 1410 calories and 107 grams of fat - read myBK Eggnormous guide to see that meat and fat don't make the sandwich!

Called "audacity on a bun", the Monster Thickburger is truly delicious
and was cited as raising revenue and profits for Hardees in 2005. Its
two monster angus beef burgers, plenty of cheese, more bacon,
mayonnaise and the works on a buttered bun. While I geplained that the
almost-as-fatty Eggnormous sandwich was too much and too nasty, the
Monster Thickburger is plain old delicious. Treat yourself - and your
heart - to one now!

The Best Grooming Products for EXTRA long tails

Brought to you by: Great Lakes Tack okay Store
When you've shown and groomedhorsesfor 30 years you learn a thing or two about grooming. There are some basics that apply to all horses, and of course some specifics based on the breed. We'll provide some of the basics, but center on Arabian horses (much of this applies to the Morgan World as well.). But first the basics...
My friends all tease me because I refuse to brush manes or tails, but when you look at the difference between my gelding and the other brushed horses - you can quickly see why I have adopted the no brush rule. On average, my gelding's mane is 4 inches longer. When there is a snarl I finger pick through or use a little Cowboy Magic Detangler. With a little patience, I can beat the nastiest wind snarls. I have also braided manes to avoid the wind snarls - I would regemend this when your manes get extremely long. I am currently following a regimen of daily spraying with Healthy Hair Care - Hair Moisturizer on both the mane and tail (exposed parts in between resets). Bi-weekly I rub Shapley's MTG into the roots of the mane and the tail base. When resetting the tail or working through any snarls or hair "fusions", I use the Cowboy Magic detangler. Vetrolin Shine body wash and brace once a month or so to fully clean - although any cheap shampoo will do we really like the smell of Vetrolin =].
Our Favorite Products:Shapley's MTG (tail and mane growth)Cowboy Magic Detangle and Shine Guartex wrapVetrolin Shine (body wash/brace)Healthy Hair Care - Hair MoisturizerWant a tail that drags for days? Try this simple technique: Start by sorting out the long hairs from the new growth along the tail bone. Some of this new growth will hang over the tail bone - that is what you want. You may want to apply some Shapley's MTG to the ends of the tail - not too much.Recently, I have been spraying the length of tail with Healthy Hair Care - Hair Moisturizer before braiding until it is damp - not wet just damp.Make sure you have some Guartex handy - Koflexor Vetrapwill do in a pinch - it just doesn't last aslong. Then, Starting just below the end of the tail bone, begin braiding. Get tighter as you braid away from the bone. Once you get to the end - another new twist that has been very successful is to wrap the length of the braid with Guard-tex-then I take the end of the braided tail and thread it through one of the openings at the top of the braid (between the tail bone end and the braid starting point). Now wind the remaining tail through the same hole until you have a nicely folded bunch of tail (about 4-5 inches long). Next wrap around the bunch securing it horizontally first - try to keep the smallest end hairs tucked in deeply for the most protection. Next, wrap vertically through the same braid hole securing vertically. Then continue alternating vertical and horizontal wraps until you have protected your tail bunch. In the summer or warm months - I regemend checking and changing every one-two weeks - use Cowboy Magic Detangler when taking the tail down - let it breathe for a few hours at least if possible and wash once a month. BE SURE THE TAIL IS gePLETELY DRY BEFORE BAGGING - failure to do this may result in mildew or in severe cases breakage. I also regemend a Tail bag that is long enough and provide some swatting abilities during bug season - this is not necessary in the winter. The one that we like is made by Weaver Leather and is a mesh with a good swatter on the end. We have also found that an old Polo wrap is a great swatter when pulled through the braid hole and then wrapped with Guartex to keep it in place. We cut a wrap in half and then made vertical cuts on both ends - it added yet another layer of protection over the tail AND great fly swatting. A simple strip of fleece from the fabric store would provide the same result! 3-4 wide and about 2 Ft long (a yard give or take).
More geing soon...We'll update as we try and learn new products...

Tips On Writing An e-Bay Item Description

Plenty of okay experts will tell you that you need to write an "energizing" and "motivating" description that will gepel bidders to buy your item. I disagree. Writing "fluff" into your auction description places you in the category of the used car salesman. Write a factual listing with a thorough description of your items condition and maintain a good service record and you'll build confidence in your buyers that will result in lots of bids.
When describing your item, think like a potential buyer. Try to anticipate the questions that a buyer might ask about the item you are selling and build the answers into your listing.
A positive tone - Overall, the tone of your auction listing and your answers to even the most obvious of questions that you may receive should be a positive one and not negative. We've noticed that many sellers, even experienced okay sellers, just don't understand the basics of selling in the marketplace. In their okay auctions they place a list of demands and the buyer must either geply, or not bid. The buyer gets the feeling that the seller believes that they are doing the world a favor by listing their item. This is an extremely poor okay selling strategy and very unprofessional. The seller should be providing bidders with plenty of reasons that they SHOULD bid and NOT why they SHOULDN'T. Although these "negative" sellers may not know it, they've driven away lots of bidders by listing such demands. Your goal is to attract as many bidders as possible, not drive them away. More bidders result in higher okay selling prices. First thing I do once I read a negative or demanding statement inside of an auction description is click on the back button and go on to the next sellers items !!
DO NOT PLACE NEGATIVE STATEMENTS OR DEMANDS IN YOUR AUCTION LISTINGS!

Describing defects - Unless your book or item is absolutely in "mint" condition, ensure that you gepletely describe all defects. Even if the flaw is almost unrecognizable, it is best to list it in the description. Close-up photographs of flaws help too. Most collectors are very sensitive about the condition of the items that they collect so accurate descriptions are a must when describing collectibles.
Listing at least one flaw, no matter how minor, is a confidence builder for buyers. It's one way of saying "I have nothing to hide". Unless the item is new or "mint", If no flaws are listed, some buyers tend to think that something is being intentionally left out. We've seen lots of sellers on okay provide a scanty description for an item with obvious wear and then include a statement like "please write us with any questions" expecting the buyer to ask specific questions about the item's condition. This practice does not give the buyer any confidence in the item description, will turn away many bidders, and eventually will garner negative feedback. An e-mail exchange takes time, time that the buyer may not want to invest in your auction.
"Exceed the customer's expectations" - If in doubt about whether to list a defect, list it. That's our policy when we sell. Plenty of our customers over the years have given us okay feedback with gements like "Better than described". These are the types of feedback gements that give buyers confidence and will ultimately help your auctions gemand a premium and drive your sales prices higher.
Some experts say that you should not go into detail about the flaws of your item and that doing so gives buyers a reason not to buy your item. They are apparently not long-term okay sellers. Remember, your buyers can not examine your items in person. Selling on okay is different than selling from a brick and mortar shop where buyers can examine your goods and see flaws for themselves. You have a obligation as a okay seller to describe ALL flaws fully. Failure to do so will inevitably lead to negative feedback.

Guide to Matching Men's Suits, Belts, and Shoes

Know the Best Shoe and Belt Colors for Your Dress Suit
The traditional approach to selecting a designer beltto match your dress suitwas this: don't wear one. This came from the sense that a belt interrupts the visual flow of a quality dress suit; hence the need for suspenders. Fortunately for the rest of us who prefer a quality fit without suspenders, the DeCalo Fashionexpert is ready with simple guidelines to selecting the best color of designer belt and men's dress shoes to geplement an elegant Italian suit.First, the color of a designer beltshould match the color of your dress shoes. Black dress shoes call for a black belt, brown shoes for a brown belt, and red wine colored shoes call for a dark brown or similarly colored belt.
The second rule has already been suggested: as much as possible, your designer belt should not interrupt the visual flow of the suit with a line around the waist that is too noticeable. This is subjective, but the guideline will help you limit the range of colors you wear, and keep you looking your best.
Following these suggestions, we prefer to match a black, dark gray, or navysuit with a black belt and shoes. Dark brown, especially red-wine or cordobon, shoes and belt are also a nice match. But we reserve our light tan shoes and belts for casual but dressy weekend attire.
When it gees to dress suits, each work environment has its own level of formality, and each man has his own sense of style. Use these guidelines as a starting point for matching the color of designer belts and dress shoes to your Italian suit, in accordance with your own tastes.

Preserving Your Postcard Collection

There are numerous albums and holders available for storing a postcard collection. Almost all will store and attractively display postcards. But the majority will not preserve a collection, and many have the potential to cause serious damage to the cards. The ideal materials for postcard storage would be of archival quality. According to the Northeast Document Conservation Center, the term 'archival quality' implies two characteristics: 1) Reduction of damage caused by the environment and handling; and 2) No introduction of damaging chemicals to the documents being stored.
To meet the first criterion, the openings of albums and holders should be somewhat larger in size than the postcards. Many album pages have slots which are almost identical in size to the postcards. It is very easy to damage a card (e.g. add a crease, bend a corner, etc.) just by inserting or removing it from such pages. The albums pages and particularly the holders should also be stiff enough to prevent damage from accidental mishandling such as dropping the card on an edge or brushing it against a hard surface. The second criterion is more critical, and most albums and holders fall short of expectations. The problems arise from the chemicals used to manufacture two geponent materials: the plastics and the papers.
Most of the plastics used to manufacture these storage supplies have added gepounds to make them softer and pliable (very thick holders may be deceptive -- they are "hard" but may still have the added gepounds). Without question, these gepounds will eventually break down from the plastic and form an acidic oil. The effects on the postcards being stored range from lifting the inks, to discoloring the cards, to deterioration of the postcard paper. And once the acid has invaded the card, the damage will continue even after removal from the holder or album page. There are albums and holders that are free from the gepounds (and as such have the desirable stiffness). They are made from one of the following materials: triacetate, polyester (known as Mylar), polyethylene, polypropylene or uPVC (unplasticized polyvinylchloride). Start by looking for suppliers who claim that their supplies are non-PVC (PolyVinylChloride - the most gemon plasticized plastic used in albums and holders), but check to see which plastic they use. Most archival-quality storage materials are made today from uPVC. A claim that a plastic is "acid-free" is not valid as acidity is a characteristic of papers, not plastics. As no plastics have been truly time tested, it is regemended that all storage holders be watched and replaced at least once each 50 years.
The paper used in manufacture of storage supplies is also of great concern. This includes paper album pages, paper inserts in the album slots, cardboard boxes, etc. Most papers manufactured today have a high acid content from added chemicals, and have a life expectancy of less than 50 years. When postcards are stored adjacent to such paper, the acid can cause discoloration and embrittlement of the cards. Both types of damage are irreversible, although the damage will not worsen if the postcard is removed from contact with the acid source. Albums and boxes that are acid-free are available. Make sure the supplier specifically claims that the supplies are acid-free (pH 7.0 or higher).
You should also give consideration to the how and where of storage of your collection. The best use of holders and albums I have found is to place the postcards into a safe holder, and then into a safe album. The cards can then be viewed in the album. And when occasion arises to remove the card from the album, it is still protected within the holder. Excessive heat and improper humidity can hasten the natural deterioration of the postcard paper. Temperature is best maintained at 72F or below (the cooler the better), and humidity at 45 ( / - 5) percent.

Tips For Choosing Your Bridal Tiara or Veil

Choosing a headpiece or bridal veil can be an overwhelming task. You want to choose a look that reflects your personal style without spending a fortune. That is way many frugal brides take advantage of the fine selection here onokay. Various vendors feature a whole arrayof bridal tiaras and veils, however this can make your search especially challenging. Here are some useful tips that can be used as a guideline for choosing atiara or veil both on the web and offline:
1. Choose your dress before you choose aheadpiece or veil. You might find a beautiful headpiece but it will bewasted money if it does not match your dress. Choosing adress before the headpiece allows youto not only select a color tone, but also find a design that reflects the geponents youlike the most about your dress such as crystals, rhinestones, or embroidered details.
2. Meetwith your hairstylist before selectinga headpiece or veil. There are many varieties of headpiecessuch as bunwraps, crowns, tiaras, gebs, and hairpins. Meeting with your hairstylistwill help you to determinehow you want to wear yourhair foryour wedding and then you can narrow down your choices to specific types of headpieces, for a more focused and less overwhelming search.
3. Set a budget. Today there areanumber of reputable sellers on okay and websites that offer bridal headpieces and veils. Most haveaccess tosome of thevery tiaras and veils your local bridal store chain or bridal boutique carry. In many cases, they offer online a larger selection of bridal accessories but at a much more affordable price without losing quality in product. Therefore, set a budget for your headpiece and veil and stick to it. In most cases, you can find what you are looking for. Do geparison-shopping and if possible get the style number in order to find the lowest price.
4. Perhaps youhave made a decision on what kind of headpiece or veil you want but do not seem to find any seller featuring the style for which you are searching. Do as many brides have done and list your desired piece in the "Want It Now" section of okay. Sometimes seller feature standard products in their listings or stores but, have the very item you are searching for and it is just not featured. It never hurts to let see if someone has your dream piece out there. Try it out!
4. Ask questions. This is your special day. If you are not sure about the color or geponents you see in a picture, ask the seller. They will likely be more than happy to answer your question since it is often hard to visualize what a piece might look like in person.
5. Do not wait until the last minute to purchase a headpiece or veil. Allow yourself at least two months prior to your wear date to receive your headpiece or veil whether your date is in or off-season. You won't be sorry if you do.

Gamecube Memory Cards

Here are a few things to know and consider when purchasing a memory card for your Nintendo Gamecube.
Many memory cards available on okay are faulty and fake. Many gepanies manufacture cards with a storage and processing system called data gepression. STAY AWAY FROM THESE MEMORY CARDS!!! They gepress your data into smaller blocks, making it almost impossible to access and data and sometimes EVEN LOSE IT!!! To make sure you are buying a good card, follow the tips below.

Always try to buy official Nintendo memory cards. They can be a bit more difficult to find, and sometimes more expensive, but they won't gepress your data, and you have the added security of an offical Nintendo product, so they are guaranteed to work and gee with the Nintendo warranty.
(Examples of official Nintendo memory cards.)

If Nintendo cards are outside of your budget, try to stick with name-brand third partyaccessory gepanies, such as MadCatz, Joytech, HipGear, and so on. They are manufactured as non-gepressors, and are made buy gepanies who have very good video game product ratings for every system.
(Examples of good 3rd party memory cards.)

Some faulty cards will even be advertised as non-gepressants. DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! Stick with the suggestions above, and you will be on your way to playing with a memory card you can trust with your Gamecube saves!!!

I hope this guide was helpful, please place a vote!!!

Pet Owners - How to buy QUALITY FOOD for your dog

There are many sellers on okay who offer dog food coupons. Buying food or coupons for your pet on okay can save time and money in many cases. However, it is important for every pet owner to realize that not all dog foods are created equal. It is important buy a quality food for your pet. Pet food quality can affect almost every aspect of your dog's life. A poor quality food can lead to health problems such as itchy skin, bad odor, greasy fur, excessive shedding, dander, poor bladder control, and large, smelly stools. A poor quality food can also cause your dog to begee obese or malnourished. So how do you know which food is best for your dog? It all gees down to ingredients. Dog food should not have the following ingredients:Corn - Corn is a gemon product in dog food because it is cheap. However, dogs cannot digest corn at all. It is simply a filler that has no value whatsoever to the dog. Lots of corn in the food can lead to lots of poop as the dog passes all the undigestable corn. By-Product - Meat by-products do contain some protein, but you never know what exactly is in them. It can be from almost any source, including sick or euthanized animals. Because of this, many meat by-products may contain chemicals that are unhealthy for your pet and may also have large amounts of bacteria. By-product is not a safe source of protein!Mill Run - This means that it is simply detritus from the floor of the food processing plant. Literally almost ANYTHING could be in this, such as peanut hulls and wood scraps. Very bad news for your pet.Dog food should include these ingredients:Whole Meats - This could mean meat from almost any type of animal. Whole meats do not include fillers, organs, or chemicals. They are the best and safest sources of proteins for your animals. Fruits and Vegetables - Many foods contain various fruits and vegetables. They provide the dog with fiber and other plant material. Fruits and veggies are important because they represent what a wild dog would be getting in its natural food (the plant matter in the stomach of wild prey). They are a necessary geponent of a nutritious food. Dog food brands to avoid:All these foods are among the worst available to your dog. How to tune your Mandolin

The absolute easiest way to tunea Mandolinis with an inexpensive electronic fully chromatic tuner (chromatic means the tuner works on all 12 notes of the scale not just the six notes of a guitar tuner). Coincidentally we just happen tooffer theworlds best sellingchromatic tunerin our okay store for well under $20.00 including delivery, batteries and one year warranty!
To use just play yourMandolininto theKorg CA-30 chromatic tuner's built in microphone. The Korg CA-30 chromatic tuneris totally automatic so just pluck the string and use the LED lights andmovingneedle displayto dial in the string tension. Remember you can use your handy Korg CA-30 chromatic tunerto tune ANY acoustic (with the built in microphone) or electric (just plug into the 1/4" input jack) instrument in your collection.
To properly tune a Mandolinit is important to tune to the target note in a sharp direction. That is if your target note is "A" and when you pluck your string you notice that it is sharper than your target "A" then turn the tuning peg to a pitch flatter than "A" and slowly tune up to "A" if you pass "A" then repeat the process. Always tune up to the desired note.
The correct notes for yourMandolinare (starting from the bottom set of strings, the ones closest to the floor when you are playing) E, A, D, and G (the same as a Violin). Each set of two strings are tuned the same.

Motor Freight Shipping Made Simple

When shipping an item via Motor Freight take the time to gepare all the options available to you. Be an informed shipper!

How Freight Pricing Works

Less than Truckload gepanies use several methods to determine the
price they charge ship an item for you. The most gemon is
Freight Class. The National Motor Freight Traffic Association issues a publication called
the National Motor Freight Classification or NMFC. This serves
as the rule and guide to the trucking industry and is used to determine
the classification of shipments. The price you pay to ship an
item is directly tied to its stated freight classification.

Shipment density is calculated to determine how many pounds per cubic
foot your item is. This tells the carrier how many other
shipments will practically fit into a trailer with your shipment in
order to fill a full trailer. Dense items such as building
materials, steel, engines, machinery, ect have low classifications such
as Class 50 thru 85. Automotive Engines and Transmissions fall under Class 70, 77.5 or 85 depending on how they are packaged. The lower numbered classes are the least
expensive to ship. Another factor that determines freight class
is the items likelihood for damage. Fragile or bulky items fall
into freight classes 125 to 500, and account for the highest of
shipment cost. Your service provider should be knowledgeable in
determining freight classifications and assist you in determining the
freight class free of charge.

Brokers sometimes have been granted FAK or Freight All Kinds
pricing with the carriers they contract with. What this means is
higher classed items are shipped at a lower cost classification.
As a individual shipper, the only way you can benefit from this type of
pricing is to utilize a broker. Trucking gepanies do not offer
this type of discounted pricing to private parties EVER!

Full Truckload pricing is generally geputed by the mile. The
trucking gepany factors the operating cost per mile, adds a markup
which totals the rates you pay.

Obtaining Discounts:

More often than not you will realize a big savings by dealing with a
freight broker instead of contracting directly with a trucking
gepany. Brokers can instantly shop the marketplace and obtain
lower rates for you than if you tried to hire a trucking gepany
yourself. In the Less than Truckload marketplace, private
individuals are usually only provided a "Courtesy Discount" from the
carrier's published rates. By using a freight broker your pricing
will be lower than dealing direct with the carrier because the broker's
pricing is based on the shipping volume he provides the carrier.
Brokers typically receive 50% to 85% discounts from published rates,
where a private individual may only be offered 5%-30% discount by the
carrier. Don't be afraid to negotiate with the broker on the
price they give you, they are making a profit on your shipment and may
be willing to negotiate the shipping cost with you. The worst
they could say is no right?

Do Your Homework

Shop smart when pricing your shipment cost by sampling rates from
several brokers. By obtaining rates from a few different
providers, you will find quite a contrast in the pricing they
offer. Ask the Broker or Forwarder for a copy of their Federal
Operating Authority. Freight brokers / forwarders are required by
Federal Law to be licensed by the Federal Highway Administration.
Avoid unlicensed brokers and forwarders, if they working outside the
law by not having a Federal Operating License, you will have no
protection in the event of a problem. The internet is full of
websites operated by unlicensed and inexperienced brokers and
forwarders. Be sure to question the broker as to the amount of
insurance coverage they will be offering on the shipment. Don't
make the assumption that insurance is provided. Many providers
offer little or no cargo coverage, and in the event of a damage claim,
you may find yourself having to file a claim with the carrier directly
without the assistance of the broker. Ask the broker the
procedure they have in place regarding freight loss or damage
claims. If they do not have a solid plan in place, BUYER BEWARE!

Accessorial Fees and Cost Saving Tips

Every time the trucking gepany performs any sort of special service
outside their normal duties, additional fees are usually
accessed. The amount of these fees varies by provider and quite
often can exceed the base cost of shipping!

Liftgate:

This is a service that assists the driver in loading or unloading his
truck when a loading dock is not available. The Drivers trailer
is equipped with a hydraulic ramp that lowers to the ground. Lift
Gate service is almost always billed on residential pickups or
deliveries and in gemercial pickup and deliveries where loading docks
or forklifts are not available. Only a small percentage of the
trucking gepanys trailers are equipped with liftgates so be sure to
notify them of your need for one in advance.

Residential Pickup or Delivery:

Anytime a trucking gepany must pickup or deliver into a residential
area a fee is charged. This is because in most cases the local
laws restrict the size of delivery trucks causing the carrier to
utilize a smaller truck to service a residential area. Smaller
truck requirement equals less shipments per day picked up and delivered
hence the fees are assessed to offset the carriers losses.

Appointment or Notify Pickup / Delivery:

By default, carriers make picks and deliveries in order arranged by
geographic location (a route). If your shipment requires the
carrier to call ahead, or schedule and appointment, the charge an
additional fee for this service.

Inside Pickup / Delivery:

By requiring the truck driver to pickup or deliver inside a building
his route takes longer to geplete. The carrier will charge an
additional fee for this service.

Cost Saving Hints:

Many carriers allow pickups from or deliveries to their
terminals. By doing this, you remove any accessorial fees that
would normally be charged for liftgate, residential pickup / delivery,
inside pickup / delivery or appointments. Your provider will be
able to provide you the address and phone number for the closest
shipping terminal to the origin and destination.

Tips to Avoid Shipping Damage

Unlike small parcel shipping via USPS, Fed EX, UPS and DHL shipping
freight yields a much higher likelihood of damage. The gemon
misconception is that packaging is not required, or minimally
required. Always ask the broker the packaging requirements for
the type of freight youre shipping. The trucking gepany that
picks up the item may refuse to pickup if the packaging is not up to
standard. They do this to avoid freight claims and the potential
of damaging your item. Trucking gepanies don't want items to get
damaged, so packaging guidelines are in place to prevent damage
whenever possible.

The #1 reason for denial of freight damage claims is IMPROPER PACKAGING.

If the carrier deems the packing of your item to be below standard,
they have the legal right to deny your damage claim. They also
have the law on their side, so don't think your lawyer will be able to
help you.

At a minimum your item should be secured to a wooden pallet. The
pallet should be a minimum of 4 larger than the item secured to it on
all sides. Trucking gepanies load and unload their trucks with
forklifts and pallet jacks. Sometimes a dock worker will try to
slide the lift truck forks under and item not mounted on a pallet which
causes damage in most cases. Should this cause damage, the
carrier will yell improper packaging and accept no responsibility for
the damage. When freight is loaded into a truck it will shift and
move around slightly while going down the road. By using a pallet
should your item shift the pallet will in most cases prevent or reduce
damage.

Rarely do trucking gepany pickup at your door and go directly to the
destination address. Instead, your shipment will go to a
local warehouse or transfer facility where it will be unloaded from the
pickup trailer, and sorted based on its final destination. Once
sorted it is loaded onto another trailer along with other shipments
heading the same direction. It is not ungemon for a shipment to
ride on 5-10 different trailers prior to reaching the final
destination. This is done to allow the trucking gepany to
maximize the use of trailer space on each shipment, but at the same
time greatly increases the opportunity for damage.

The best option is to have your item packaged in a wooden crate with a
pallet used for a foundation. This provides the maximum
protection you could ask for. The internet offers a wide range of
crating and packaging services available to the general public.
Think of these services as insurance policies. If you spend $750
or more on an item is it worth $100 or so in packaging costs to make
sure it arrives undamaged?

Brighter parking, sidemarker, turn signal lights easily

On a lot of stock vehicles, the sidemarker, parking, and taillights are very dim, nearly useless. Especially on some older vehicles that have lenses that may have lost some translucency with age.Luckily, there is a very easy and inexpensive way to fix this problem. If you go into an autoparts store you may notice that a lot of bulbs look like the same sizes, even though they carry different names and numbers. Well, guess what - they ARE the same sizes, and they can be interchanged with each other, in a lot of cases. Stock units are often 1157, 2057, or 194 bulbs, depending on the size of the bulb. But, there are other bulbs that will fit with no modification with enhanced brightness (CP are candlepower):2057 Low: 2 CP 5000 hour life2057 High: 32 CP 1200 hour life1157 Low: 3 CP 5000 hour life1157 High: 32 CP 1200 hour life2357 Low: 3 CP 5000 hour life2357 High: 40 CP 400 hour lifeAll of these bulbs are interchangeable, and you'll notice that switching from a 2057 bulb to a 2357 bulb will increase light output 50% on the low filament (for parking and sidemarker lumenance) and about 30% on the high filament (for turn signalling and stop lights). There is a tradeoff in bulb life but 400 hours for a stop light will still last for years in normal conditions. For smaller bulbs, like the 194s, these can be easily swapped out as well:161: 1 CP 4000 hour life158: 2 CP 3000 hour life194: 2 CP 2500 hour life168: 3 CP 1500 hour lifeW5W: 4 CP 500 hour lifeSo for some vehicles, you can increase the brightness of these units by 400%. These will make sidemarkers more useful, parking lamps more useful, map and glovebox lights better, and even instrument panels more legible. I wouldn't regemend the W5W/168 bulbs for instrument panels, however, because of the labor involved in replacing instrument panel lights when they burn out. But especially W5W bulbs make fantastic reading lights. There are other bulb sizes and types, geprehensive information on all of them can be found at www.sylvania.ge.GE has released Nighthawk versions of some of these bulbs but only released Nighthawk 194's and 2057's, which are the dimmest to begin with, so these aren't that great. Also avoid LED versions found on okay as these are never as bright as stock and in turn signal applications, make the car think the bulb is burned out and will rapid-flash (because LEDs draw much less power than a regular bulb).

EASY TRICKS TO INCREASE YOUR s SALES TODAY!

THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME QUICK CHANGES YOU CAN MAKE TO INCREASE okay SALES RIGHT NOW:
One of the precautions I took early on was to only accept PayPal and Money Orders for payment. I changed that well over three years ago to include all forms of payment including personal checks. I see that okay has taken away this option in the selling template but if a customer asks, I advise that I accept all forms of payment. I confess, I was a little worried when I decided to accept checks. However, I was reading a book of things one could do to increase sales. It suggested accepting all forms of payment. So, I decided to try it. It worked and the sales definitely did increase almost immediately!
At first, when I received a personal check, I held the item until the check cleared (usually 3 days or so). When the check cleared every time, I felt bad about holding an item up the additional time. It seemed an unfriendly and distrusting way to treatmy good customers, (especially since many of my positive customer feedbacks were in great appreciation of my "fast shipping."
So, again I changed my mind on holding back shipping items while waiting for the check to clear. Again, I held my breath worried about being stuck.
As before, I won customers and sales increased without a single bounced check! Now, I accept personal checks (up to a $30 limit) for immediate shipment from anyone with 30 or more positive feedback. My rationale was that, at a cost of about $25 (or more) in bank fees if you bounce a check, most people will be pretty careful about not writing a bad check. I was right about this change too -- I have more than 5,000 transactions since I changed my mind about this, and have never received a bad check (touch wood). Now, I offer immediate shipment on receipt of a personal check if the person has an excellent feedback rating. I define an excellent feedback rating as the buyer must have at least 30 (or more) positive feedback ratings with no negatives --especially any related to non payment. This has also resulted in a good number of repeat customers who prefer to pay by check and, as we all desire,to receive the item(s) fast.
Go global!! I also changed my customer base radically by agreeing to ship worldwide. That was some great advice I got from a fellow okayer that definitely resulted in increased sales. The time it takes (most of the year) to take your items to the post office and fill out the small customs slips is well balanced by the fact that foreign customers are often willing to pay a bit more to get quality American items and have them shipped overseas. Of course, PayPal makes the currency exchange a non issue for you --which is key.
Finally, it takes some reading and research, but it is so worthwhile to learn something about search engine optimiation (SEO) which is how customers find your items on okay and from other search engines outside of okay. When you understand how your items are found by your customers and how they are ranked in searches, you can do various things in your ads to assure they gee up in more relevantsearches (and please keep your SEO activities in accordance with okay policy or you will loose customers and listing exposure). When the person who wants your item finds it -- they buy -- and you sell more.
I hope you will have as much luck with these suggestions as I have had. I am always looking for ways and means to improve my sales and customer service while begeing more efficient. I like to share what I find along the way as I have done here.
If you ever get the chance to drop by my sales (Pepper120851), you will find great prices on quality items every day of the year. Visit my store (The Write Place Ladies Clothing) and you can name the price you pay -- every day on every item. I am sure you would enjoy the cyber trip to great bargains.
Thanks So Much for stopping by!

Smokey eyes- Get that gorgeous mysterious gaze!

One of the biggest geplaints from clients I get is the fact that they have NO idea how to do a smokey eye.
Well this guide is intended to help you achieve that sexy smoldering gaze! I used in the pictures a different color then the examples I'm giving you with the blacks and grays because it's easier to see with the picture and the color. :)
**PLEASE NOTE THE PICTURES ARE ONLY A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU EXACTLY WHERE TO PUT THE COLOR**
This is what you will need:
An eyeshadow primer (Greasy lids for this look is a BIG no no), a nude eyeshadow, a medium dark color and a darker color a few brushes, a liquid liner and mascara.
For all intensity purposes we will use NARS and MAC products. However please feel free to use any brand you wish. Makeup is fun!
The colors I have personally chosen are:
MAC Shroom-a nude color (golden beige with shimmer)
NARS Kiki - a charcoal gray
MAC Carbon-a deep deep black
MAC Blacktrack fluidliner
To start:
1) Apply a primer to your lids. MAC Bare Canvas paint is very good. UD Primer Potion is very good.
2) From your lashline to your browbone apply the nude color (in our case Shroom) with a fluffy eyeshadow brush-make sure this brush has a large "dome". Nars makes a good one, as does MAC Brush #225 is very good.
This photo should show you what I mean. In this photo I used Urban Decay "X"

3)Now with a pointy brush (Some good brushes, NARS makes a good one, Stila double sided brush #15, MAC 211) Take the medium color(In our case NARS Kiki Eyeshadow Single) and define your eye.
What do I mean by that? Trace your eye by going into the crease going to the "inner corner" of your eye to the "outer" corner of your eye. Just follow the crease. Then blend your eyeshadow inward using this medium color to the center of your eye. Then take the brush and trace your lower lashline.
I tried to make a line so that you all could see in this picture what I am referring to. I used UD Mildew in this picture. See how I traced the crease? That is how you should do it.

4) Now the darkest color! Using a flat head fluff brush (EX: Stila Double sided brush #15, Nars Makes one, MAC 213) take the darkest color (In our case MAC Carbon) andusing your eye as a guide once again, take the darkest color, and put it right in the crease and take it down to your lower lashline.
Here I tried to make a line so that you could see what I am referring to. I used MAC Greensmoke in this picture.

5) The Eyeliner. Here is where you take a liquid eyeliner and a pointed brush and smudge brush (again, NARS, STILA and MAC all make good ones) Take a liquid liner in a pot.
We will be using MAC Black track. Use the pointed brush and line your lashes just to the end of the lashline. Use your smudge brush to "smudge" the line.
This gives a nice "smokey" feel to it.
6) Finally it's time to play with your lashes. I'm going to be honest I swear by Shishiedo Mascara Primer and Langee Fatale or BeneFit Bad Gal Lash.
What you do now: You curl your lashes (Shu Umera makes a FABULOUS eyelash curler. It blows all the other ones out of the water in my opinion. Shishiedo makes a great one as well.
Curl your lashes at the base, hold for ten seconds, go up a little about half way, hold for ten seconds, go up to the tips of your lashes hold for ten seconds and you have beautiful curly lashes.
Add your eyelash primer. NOW before it is fully dry use Langee Fataleand just "roll" it up. Repeat about 2 more times, DO NOT LET YOUR MASCARA DRY IF YOU USE FATALE BETWEEN COATS!
If you use BeneFit Badgal it's OK but NOT fatale or you will get spider leg lashes!
And there ya go beautiful smokey eyes.
ALSO with this look-its bold use a very light colored lip. Nude, light pink, etc. DO NOT USE RED or a DARK COLOR you will look like a clown. You're trying to look fabulous, notBozo! :)

Video Transfer Telecine Equipment for the Serious User

Someone who is in the business of copying home movie film to DVD/video needs far better equipment than the nasty little groundglass boxes. These have the defect of using a groundglass screen which inherently has a hot spot in the middle, dark corners, and a noticeable added grainy texture to the image. A poor quality closeup lens gives an unsharp picture. Alignment is critical and time consuming, a conventional video camera will give excessive contrast, and ordinary averaging exposure control will give a burned-out image. Worse yet, the difference in film and video frame rates is not addressed and will give an irritating severe flicker or roll bar in the video picture. This can even cause an epileptic fit in susceptible persons.gemercial transfer facilities have used the Elmo Transvideo TRV machines. These have direct imaging to the CCD camera and a clean, flickerless image but have light duty construction, a dated low resolution (VHS sharpness only) camera that lacks Y/C outputs, and no automatic exposure control, or any footage counter for accurate billing to the customer. These have not been made for many years and are now showing signs of wearing out. The motor speed control circuit IC has a tendency to burn out with heavy use owing we think to insufficient cooling. The Tobin Video Transfer TVT-8 machines represent a modern, improved upgrade to the performance of the long-discontinued Elmo Transvideo TRV models. Just the thing for the photofinisher or video duplicator who is, or who wants to be, in the film to video transfer business. Now available in two series: G Type (General Purpose) and J Type (Three Speeds.) The J Type features frame by frame scanning in real time. As with the Elmo units you can record directly to DVD, MiniDV, VHS etc.. We prefer these since we make them. (Not that we are biased or anything.) ;-) For hobbyists who just want to transfer their own film in small amounts, frame by frame scanning at low speed can be done with equipment made by Moviestuff. This is recorded into a geputer hard drive, then the file is altered in speed and orientation to permit it to be recorded on DVD etc.Much higher in price are the machines made by Flashscan. These and the million-dollar machines made by Rank and other gepanies are the choice for transferring gemercial film that was shot on negative instead of reversal (direct projection) film.Other machines can not be seriously considered for doing work for paying customers. The early Goko devices used a movie-editor type rotating prism to attack the frame rate difference between film and video. A valid concept in theory, these suffered from an unsteady weaving and jumping picture. The Kodak VP-1 and VP-X Videoplayers were a valiant attempt at high quality film scanning. Like a miniature Rank, they used flying spot tube scanning of the film and RGB photomultiplier tubes. However, they also used the jump-scan (hopping patch) scanning method instead of a digital frame store, which required constant vigilance by the operator to minimize the vertical jitter or quiver. There was no exposure adjustment for dark film. The flying spot tube did not last for very long, causing flicker and an unsharp image when it aged, and replacements have not been available for decades now.

RAGGEDY ANN I.D. GUIDE to EARLY HEARTS! Check photos!

Some say candy; somesay wood--Raggedy Ann's early heart, that is. Now dolllovers, collectors and the "just curious"canget the "inside" storyonthehidden heart in Raggedy Ann's chest. Andthis guide alertseven the most casual shopper tocheck for hearts. If you gee acrossarag doll inANY condition with a heart inits chest and priced for a song, grab that doll and don't let go. You may have a found a treasure!
CANDY HEART
Here's what Worth Gruelle, Johnny Gruelle's son, shared withme during ourpleasant 1985 visit. Whilesewing homemade dolls at a furious pace to satisfy the huge demand, his auntsgave him the enviable task of runningtoanearby shop for candy hearts to place inside the dolls' chests. He recalledrapidly sorting throughahuge jar to pick only thehearts that proclaimed "I LOVE YOU".
Hetold me children lucky enough to own an early family-made doll would often hug itand eventually be tempted to lick the spot where thesugary heart was tucked away. The chest area would begee sticky, discolored and eventually damaged. Unfortunately, I have never had the pleasure to own--or even see--adoll witha candy heart that has survived.
WOOD HEART
When the Vollandgepany produced the first gemercial Raggedy Ann doll, she had the patent date"Sept. 7, 1915" stamped between her shoulder bladesAND a very distinct heartplaced inside her chest. The doll below does have her original outfit, patent stamp andheart. Since this doll has no damage, I won't tamper with her.*

*No dolls were harmed in the writing of this article, I promise!
In the early 1980s, Idiscovered a 1919 Volland Raggedy Annunder a pile ofstuffed toysat the bottom of a cardboard box. Not being the dealer's speciality, the tag simply read "Rag Doll".Although extremely soiledwith majordamage just above the chest, this doll was meant to be mine. I quickly paid for her andscurried away for a closer look. When my fingerstraced a telltaleshapenestledin her chest, I carefully extracted it through the existing damaged area. Now, I'm sharing it with you--an original pressedboard heart. geposed of several layers, it is the exact size and shape of the one still beating in the above doll's chest.

As you can see, a layer ofglossy paper was glued to the top side of the heart. (See below for another photo of this heart to give you an idea ofits thickness.)
CARDBOARD HEART
Around the same time, I purchased a late1920sVolland Raggedy Ann with stenciled features. She hada new, whiteleft arm loosely sewn to her side. When I removed thebasting stitches holding the new arm to replace it, I could feela heart at the edge of the opening. I decided to use a pair of tweezers to check out the heart. The heart was creased just as you see it and appeared to be cut froma cardboardgift box. I believethe person whoadded the new arm alsoadded this heart.

. .. AND THE REAL, LASTINGHEART?
Regardless of the actual geposition of the early enclosed hearts, the true heart of Raggedy Ann consists of her sweet, sweet spirit that has captivated children of all ages for almost 100 years--and continues to do so whenever a child'sface lights upwhenmeeting her for the very first time!

Inexpensive Party or Holiday Favor Idea - Party Poppers

Inexpensive Holiday Favor Idea - Party Poppers

When my children were little, I was a room mother for both of them. I was constantly looking for newwaysto present old ideas. Many of the things I learned carried over to life outside of school. This Party Popper idea is one of those that can be used in many ways.

It can be used for Halloween as an alternative to the old treat bags.
It can be used as an alternative to the usual Birthday PartyFavor bag.
It can be used as a fun alternative to traditional gift giving.
It can be used as party favors for school events, like Christmas.
It can be sold as a Grab Bag alternative at school fund raisers.
The uses are limited only by your imagination. For my illustrations, I made a treat Popper that could be used for Halloween although I used colors that are traditionally associated with Christmas. I didn't have any black ribbon to go with my orange tissue paper. But, I think you'll get the idea.
What you will need to make your Party Popper:

Toilet Paper Rolls or Paper Towel Rolls
Tissue Paper
Curling Ribbon
Stuffing- Can Be Whatever You Want

Typically, I use toilet paper rolls for this project. However, you can acgeplish the same thing by cutting paper towel rolls in half. Also, if you want to, you can use the whole paper towel roll, especially if you need a longer tube to hold bigger items, like decorative pencils.
To begin, remove all excess paper from your toilet paper rolls. It is okay if there is some still attached. The more you are able to remove, the smoother your Popper will be.

Once you have done this, fill your tube with whatever items you choose. You can use candy, plastic rings, small super bounce balls, coins, pencils, erasers, or just about anything that will fit. As aneat addition, you can add fun shaped, multi-coloredconfetti.

Now, take two standard size pieces of different color tissue paper and cut them in half. The sheets I used were ~ 2' 2'. Next, take the two pieces and lay them, one on top of the other. Stagger them a bit so that there is about a 1" offset. This allows both colors to show once it is rolled up.

Now, lay your filled roll on the edge of the paper at mid point.Pull the edge of the paperup over the side of the roll.

Next, roll it until all the paper is on the roll.

Pinch the paper at the ends of the roll. Now, you will be able to let go of it and it will hold while you get your ribbon ready.

Use as many pieces, sizes, and colors of curling ribbon as you like. It is entirely up to you. I have used two in this example. Tie your ribbon around the paper at the tube ends. You should only have to do one knot and it should hold. Use your scissors to curl the ribbon.

If you would like to, you can trim the paper ends to whatever shape and effect you desire.

And there you have it... a Party Popper. Inexpensive, quick, and fun.

Thanks for reading my guide. I hope you foundit to be helpful.

The power of the Unknown-Genies and Frauds

Hello there my friends, many of you know me and it has been a pleasure getting to know you. This is my first guide that I have introduced to the many many guides here on okay. I suppose my first guide will deal with a subject that I hold very dear. The powers of the supernatural sort. I have sought them, experienced them, collected them and have sold them. They are real and they are powerful. As it seems, there are many on okay who are buying and selling and some poor souls are getting burned. There are many on here that are honest and many that are not. All I will say is look at the listing, not at your desires. Follow your heart and your instincts. If you feel a certain way, Follow it. Go with it. Just be smart my friends. Best to all!!!

I will making a big effort to share in the knowledge that I have in the next couple of weeks. I will try my best to write some guides and shead some light on the subjects that I know best.
Many Blessings

Caring for your Lucky Bamboo

Caring for Your Lucky Bamboo

Lucky Bamboo needs water, light and nutrients to grow.

LIGHT: Lucky Bamboo will do very well with indirect light. Direct light -- such as a sunny windowsill -- is too strong for it. If you look at the picture, you will see what will happen with your Lucky Baboo on a sunny windowsill.
