TAYE Drum review

Hi there..
I've been around the block for quite some time in the drumming gemunity..I was 9 in 1970, and that's when I started playing drums.Well, 36 and a half years and a zillion drum sets later, I'm still going strong. I worked for a major drum manufactuer from 1998 til this year-2006. I was in charge of custom drums.Believe me..I've heard every type of wood drum, and geposite shells there could be.
Anyway..This past January, I had the notion to fly out to Los Angeles, CA to the winter NAMM show. I personally needed a vacation, and was in search of yet a new toy..I looked at everybody out there..There truly are some remarkable tubs out there.I, being who I was, was sick and tired of hearing about custom this and custom that. That's the wave of drumming though.
I stopped in to see my buddy of many years Brian at the Taye drum booth. I , again, knowing what I know...blah blah blah about drums, proceeded to nit pick these bad boys..I was impressed. Very impressed. A couple weeks later, I called Brian and asked if he could put a set together for me in my sizes, and in a sick lime/lemom/lime stain burst over some birch shells.Of course he said yes..He didn't say.."Um..I have to check on that and get back to you" crap..It was YES-no hesitation.Of course being the weenie I can sometimes be..I asked, "OK, how long til I see these? 8 months? He laughed and said 8 weeks.
This I had to see..So for 7 weeks I"m wondering what will be so stinkin' different about these drums over all my zillion other ones.Well, week 8 arrives and I get a phone call from California..My drums are ready to ship ..Again...IMPRESSED..Right on the money-8 weeks as promised .About 4 days later I have yet another set of toys in my possession.I pulled them out of the box and gasp..Again..NOTHING in the drum biz impresses me anymore. These drums were insane..I proceeded to set them up,and dial in the stock heads..You know..I'm thinking..I'm going to have to put new heads on these cause stock heads always sound like crap..
OK..So I sit down, for the test drive..I was BLOWN AWAY..Nothing is suppose to blow me away in this stage of the game..I've seen it all, designed it all, and played it all...I was so blown away I wrote gepanyhead, Ray Ayotte that day ! The stock heads called "Dynation" heads are remarkable.I have the coated one plys..I didn't even dent them..and I play HARD.The drums I bought are the Taye "Originals". They make a whole line of smoking drums. From professional to entry level, and the hardware is just as awesome as the drums.
I didn't have to write this..I'm telling you from my heart and through my experience...You MUST check these out before you buy another kit.Check them out on the web.I have already bought yet another set in their Rock Pro line in Oyster black. The hardware and mounts are some of the coolest in the biz guys..Don't take my word for it..Go download the catalog and start reading-then go to your nearest authorized dealer and smack these things..
God bless to all.....

Reselling MS Office AE -- Can I or Can't I?

Have you ever purchased a MicroSoft product, gotten it home, opened the box, read the manual, only to find you cannot use it unless you upgrade your geputer?
Return it, right?
Not so quick! Most retailers will not honor returns once the shrinkwrap has been broken.
So, I'm out the $200 I paid for this???
Not necessarily! Maybe I can sell it on okay. Others can use it, and I can recoup some of what I paid for it.
Not so fast!!!
Try listing a MS Office AE (Academic Edition) NIB on okay and before long, you may be the recipient of a nasty-gram from the MS okay monitor. You could have your listing pulled. Why? MS retailers pay for the privilege to sell MS products. Furthermore, MS puts restrictions on the sale of Academic Editions of their software. These are the editions which are sold to students at $200 vs. $500, for instance.
So, like I said, I'm out $200 PLUS my okay listing fees???
Not necessarily. I called MS support to determine whether they offered a solution to purchasers of their software who find themselves in this position.
Here is what I learned...
Since the product purchased was MS Office AE, the only authorized sellers are Academic Bookstores, etc.
You should call the MS Money Back Guarantee Line (1-888-673-8624).
They require the following:

The item must have been purchased within the last 45 days
The item must be returned with a copy of the receipt, indicating date of purchase, and a brief explanation of why it is being returned
The full name and address of the person who made the purchase
They will provide the return code to acgepany the return.
As long as the KEY code has not been used, the return will be honored, if the above conditions are followed.
Furthermore...
They cannot authorize private parties to resell new MS software on okay. As the rightful owner of the product, if you are taken to court (or whatever) you will be able to win (probably) if you can prove you never used the KEY code. However, with the AE edition of this software, they would still have a case, unless you can prove you sold the product to a registered student.
I hope this helps others who find themselves in a similar position.

CNC Router, Gcode, CNC Milling Machine Stepper DIY

CNC machines offer a great utility to the machinist, artist, sign maker or anyone wishing to automate a machining process. I needed a CNC machine to make a rapid prototype pattern for my foundry. Faced with a large expense I studied the CNC world and designed my own machine very inexpensively. CNC uses a geputer to send signals to a stepper motor controller which tells the stepper motor which direction to turn and how many steps to take. The motor is connected to the drive mechanism of the router or mill in the X,Y and Z axes. Some machines use servo motors and some have more than 3 axes. Between the geputer and the controller I place an optical interface to protect the geputer. It was inexpensive to build and keeps me from worying about damaging the geputer. The machine control program uses Gcode which is basically the X, Y and Z position the tool is to have and it moves from one position the the next according to the points you specify. Graphics programs can be used to draw the tool path which is then converted to Gcode. If you can plot on a piece of graph paper you can write Gcode. The machine control programs range from free, which is what I used, to the very expensive. The electronics likewise can be very inexpensive if you build your own to very expensive off the shelf.I have used my machine extensively and have been amazed at how little I spent, and if you are a resourceful scrounger and are willing to scavange old copier or printers for steppers and build some of your own geponents you can do it for very little.I used the same principles to convert my milling machine to CNC for very little money.I was so pleased with the results and just how simple it all is I wrote two books on CNC machines and sell them here on okay.I have sold over 200 of these books and have had a great response from buyers reflecting on how realistic it is and just how inexpensively the machines can be built. Of course you can scale a CNC machine to be as big or small as you wish to meet your needs. No longer do you have to buy new when you can do it yourself for a tiny fraction of the cost. There is no need to spend big bucks on software or parts if you are resourceful. The advent of CNC machines allows for greater precision and speed than ever before. Once you have a achine running, you can attend to other tasks while it produces your product.I have three machines operating on the principles outlined in my books.Shop around, look for good deals on okay for stepper motors and controllers, or build your own.I have been able to build a new 3 axes controller for about $60.Read all you can and subscribe to user groups involving CNC to help learn how others have don it.I sell my CNC DIY books right here on okay, just look under CNC in books. This CNC business is not very hard to understand or build, just take one step at a time, read all you can, find a good manual and try building a small simple machine first, use free software and get used to how things work. Then expand to even bigger and greater projects.Once you have it all done, make your products or services available for others.I have enjoyed selling my books on okay and helping others get started on CNC projects.Good luck on your CNC project. You can do it!Thank you

Once more on loose pipe stems

As the other article mentions, you are going to run into a loose stem every once in awhile. A fast fix is to fill a pot full of water, bring it to a boil and then dip the tenon into the boiling water. 30 seconds may be enough, if not, just stick it back into he water until the tenon has expanded to the proper size. Experiment with it until you get it to where you want it. I usually use a long handled set of pliers with the pipe stem wrapped in leather where you are going to be holding it. Hope this helps.

Female Sexual Enhancement Creams

Female Sexual Enhancement Creams
An Woman's Intimate Guide

There are gemercials and advertisements abound selling special creams and gels that claimto put you in the mood and enhance lovemaking and orgasm. Do they really work? I decided toput my experience with adult products to the test and take an unbiased and scientific look at theseproducts and their claims. What I learned is surprising and may gee as good news to somewomen. Please keep in mind that I am not a doctor of any kind and my findings are purely fromstudying research on Female Sexual Dysfunction and topical sexual enhancement creams and gels geared toward women.

Female Sexual Disfunction

Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD) is something that is finally getting needed exposure frommedical professionals and the FDA. Although research into Female Sexual Dysfunction is still init's infancy, the consensus is that FSD is real and effects many women for many differentreasons.
During a recent symposium on Female Sexual Dysfunction, Dr. Ridwan Shabsigh, a urologistand head of the Center Of Human Sexuality of a New York hospital, stated that FSD gees from a variety of sources including, but not limited to, menopause, antidepressants and fatigue. The approach to treating FSD can be as diverse as the cause, but there is a gemon bond they all share.
When we ladies begees aroused, whether through the brain (neurologically) or physically, our vaginal tissue creates nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is responsible for swelling of the vaginaltissue, increased blood flow, natural lubrication and sensitivity. With decreased nitric oxideproduction gees decreased sexual response. Clinical trials have found that the topicalapplication of certain amino fatty acids has been found to stimulate the production of nitric oxidetherefore creating physical arousal.

Active Ingredients Of Enhancement Creams

In researching female sexual enhancement creams and gels, I looked closely at theingredients. Many of these products contained similar ingredients which have no value accordingto what I learned from the symposium. But some of the products did contain L-Arginine*, an amino fatty acid which aids in the production of nitric oxide. They also containedpeppermint leaf or menthol which the manufacturers claim increase blood flow and assist in theabsorption of the amino fatty acid. While I found no scientific documentation to this claim, peppermint and menthol are known to open poreswhich assists in the absorbtion of other essential ingredients. These ingredients alsoabsorb into the skin and create a warming and tinglingsensation. Personally, I feel that warm and tingly is a good thing in aspect to sexual arousal.
Many of these products also contain natural herbs and vitamins. Again, while I found no scientific proof as to the sexual enhancement benefits of these ingredients, they are known to enhance the general health of the mucous membranes of the vagina. Healthy skin and membranes function better, therfore these ingredients may help restore natural function with continued use.

My Own Test

Since I have recently begun to suffer from decreased libido, sensitivity and lubricationproduction due to perimenopause, I decided to try one of these sexual enhancement gels andlearn for myself if it really worked. This particular brand contained L-Arginine and menthol aswell as other natural ingredients. Upon application of the gel, I immediately noticed a cool, tingling sensation that changed into warmth. My genitals felt as if they were swelling a bit andthrobbing as if I had just experienced foreplay. My natural lubrication increased and sensitivitywas very pronounced. During sexual stimulation, I felt little difference than I would without thegel but I did climax more easily and was able to climax a second time very quickly. I found theexperience to be a pleasant one and will continue to use the product.

Choosing An Enhancement Cream

While my experiment was not scientific and my experience may differ from yours, considering the gemonalities in the doctor's findings and the key ingredients in some of theseproducts, some of the manufacturer's claims could possibly hold water. If you're interested intrying one of these products, make sure the topical creams or gels contain the L-Arginine aminofatty acid. Without that ingredient, you'll simply be purchasing an all natural lubricant with nostimulating benefits.
Remember that these enhancement creams and gels are not approved by the FDA nor are theya cure-all for relationship problems or hormone and chemical imbalances. If you suffer from FSDand are concerned by it, please consult your doctor to see if an enhancement cream or gel mightbe right for you.
* L-Arginine can cause flare ups in those suffering from genital herpes.

Free Program Keyless Entry Remote Fobs Alarm Remotes

CLICK HERE FOR THE BEST DEALS ON KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTES
Keyless entry remote replacements for your car or truck can be found very easily on okay. There are just a couple simple things you should follow before bidding on and buying keyless remotes.
1. DoNOT buy a remote from a seller who uses generic stock photos to promotean item that will look nothing like what you will receive
This is an attempt to lure you into buying the remote without reading the entire fine print in their auctions. If the price seems really low then read the entire description word for word and look to see if they are using a picture of the condition of the actual remote for sale or a stock file photo of what the remote would look like if not worn. If you don't do that what you will end up with is an ugly remote that looks nothing like the picture. Make sure the remotes condition is CLEARLY described in the main text and not hidden away the desription.
2. Always check with your dealer or match the numbers with your current remote.
The numbers on most remotes can be found on the backside of the remote. Many cars use different remotes depending on what system was put on it, i.e. factory, dealer installed, port installed, or aftermarket and some same year same model cars use different model remotes depending on when the car went down the assembly line. Do not just assume that because the seller has listed your year and model that this remote will work for your car. Any seller telling you that these numbers do not matter is wrong and is just trying to steer you in the wrong direction.Noseller can be sure which system is installed in your car.If you just purchased your vehicle and are unsure if you have keyless entry installed then you should check with your local dealers parts department. They can tell if you have factory or dealer installed keyless entry installed.
3. Programming can be found at numerous places on the web, most remotes can be programmed by the customer but others require a trip to the dealership or a qualified locksmith to program because a special tool is needed.
You should always check on this first before bidding or buying.
If you wish to ask me if a certain remote can be programmed just email me and I will pass the information on to you free of charge.
4. Beware of anyone selling any used late model 5 button Volvo remotes or Mercedes Benz Smart key remotes who say these can be programmed.
They can not, call any Volvo or MB dealer and see for yourself. If you see a remote you need and want to check on the real honesty of the seller, search that sellers inventory to see if he is selling any of these types of remotes. If he is then he is definately not an honest seller and is misleading customers. Most of the respectable sellers will not sell these individually because they are honest but a few of the really big sellers will sell these types of remotes claiming they heard you can program them. The question you have to ask is that if they are really professional and honest why don't they know this then for sure.
5. Enjoy your newCAR, TRUCK,SUV or VAN purchase.
Maybe you are just looking for an extra remote for your car or truck or maybe you just purchased your new vehicle and it didn't gee with any remotes or just came with one. Well you should be able to enjoy that purchase by getting treated fairly and with respect, nothing is worse than getting your new car and then have people trying to rip you off by misleading you. Ask questions to the sellers and please read the entire auctions description. Don't let anyone ruin your new car.
Please feel free to email me with any questions and check out my great selection of keyless entry remotes in my okay store at
